After having traversed Weissmies the previous day my plan was to climb the WSW ridge of the Lagginhorn (4010 m.) which is easily approached from the Weissmies Hut. The route (PD) is easy and popular; I quickly reached the group of young Brits I had met the day before and climbed along side with them. The weather had changed totally; the previous day had been cold, windy and cloudy. Totally opposite from what it was now!
